Community Gardens

Supported therapeutic gardening

Therapeutic horticulture for groups and individuals experiencing poor mental health, loneliness or isolation.

What happens here?

Sessions currently run on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 am – 3 pm, and include lunch cooked by the group. Activities include shaping garden plans, preparing land, sowing seeds, propagating, transplanting, caring for plants and preparing produce.

The work promotes recovery and wellbeing through physical activity, teamwork and a peaceful farm setting.
